Nine Orchard, New York

Nine Orchard is set inside the restored 1912 Jarmulowsky Bank, a Neo-Renaissance landmark that received the Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award. The hotel occupies the entire building, with a soaring vaulted lobby finished in pink marble and a domed rooftop tempietto. Guest-only spaces include a second-floor lounge with a fireplace and games, plus an exclusive rooftop lounge offering skyline views.

Each of the 107 rooms is residential-inspired, with large windows, high ceilings, and a retro speaker that plays curated music stations on check-in and turndown. Bathrooms are spa-like, with separate toilet rooms, dimmable lights, and luxury bath products sourced from a local shop. In-room comforts include a climate-controlled thermostat, a quality bed linens set, and a mini-bar stocked with drinks and snacks from local purveyors.

The hotel operates two on-site dining venues: the Corner Bar, serving American cuisine for breakfast and dinner, and the Swan Room, a glamorous bar and lounge with cocktails and a la carte lunch. Breakfast is included with the room and offered as a full menu in the Swan Room. A complimentary wine hour is held for hotel guests, and the hotel provides a coffee house on site with lobby coffee and croissants.

Guests have access to a fitness center, a 24-hour front desk with concierge service, and daily housekeeping with evening turndown that includes fresh cookies and bottled water. The hotel offers room service, dry cleaning, laundry, and trouser press. A second-floor guest lounge with a fireplace, board games, and outdoor furniture is open to all guests.

Nine Orchard is located on the Lower East Side, 2 km from the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and an 18-minute walk from South Street Seaport. The hotel is minutes from Chinatown, Dimes Square, and subway stations including a 3-minute walk to the nearest stop. Nearby attractions include One World Trade Center, Brooklyn Bridge, and the Tenement Museum, all within walking distance or a short subway ride.
